Eastern Carpenter Bee

Gentiana andrewsii est une espèce végétale de la famille des Gentianaceae. La plante est nommée en l'hommage du botaniste anglais Henry Cranke Andrews. C'est une plante qui ne se rencontre qu'en Amérique du Nord.

Xylocopa virginica, sometimes referred to as the eastern carpenter bee, is a species of bee that extends through the eastern United States and into Canada. It is sympatric with Xylocopa micans in much of southeastern United States. It nests in various types of wood and eats pollen and nectar.

Xenox tigrinus, comúnmente conocida como la mosca abeja tigre, es una especie de Bombyliidae en la familia Bombyliidae. Es nativa del este de Norteamérica y se encuentra en el este de Estados Unidos y en el sur de Ontario. ​ La especie se reconoce por su gran tamaño y sus distintivas marcas oscuras en las alas.
