Elongate Surgeonfish

Acanthurus mata, the pale surgeonfish, blue-lined surgeonfish (also a name for Acanthurus nigroris and Acanthurus lineatus), mata surgeonfish, striped surgeonfish, tailring surgeon, white-tail lancet or yellowmask surgeonfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the family Acanthuridae, the surgeonfishes, unicornfishes and tangs. Un chirurgien est un médecin spécialiste en chirurgie. Acanthurus mata es un pez cirujano marino, de la familia Acanthuridae. Es una especie ampliamente distribuida en el océano Indo-Pacífico, y común en parte de su rango de distribución. Se pesca y comercializa para consumo humano en la región del Triángulo de Coral.
