Alepocephalus australis es una especie de pez del género Alepocephalus, familia Alepocephalidae. Fue descrita científicamente por Barnard en 1923. Se distribuye por el Atlántico Centro-Oriental: posiblemente desde el golfo de Guinea hasta Sudáfrica.
