Indian Eagle-Owl

Le Grand-duc indien (Bubo bengalensis) est une espèce de rapaces nocturnes de la famille des Strigidae, native d'Asie du Sud. Description Cet oiseau mesure jusqu'à 56 cm. Répartition Son aire s'étend à travers le Pakistan, l'Inde et le sud du Népal.

The Indian eagle-owl (Bubo bengalensis), or the Bengal eagle-owl or rock eagle-owl, is a large horned owl species native to hilly and rocky scrub forests in the Indian subcontinent. It is splashed with brown and grey, and has a white throat patch with black small stripes. It was earlier treated as a subspecies of the Eurasian eagle-owl.

El búho bengalí, búho roquero, búho real de Bengala (Bubo bengalensis)​ o búho real indio es una especie de ave estrigiforme de la familia Strigidae que se distribuye por colinas rocosas de bosque y matorral del subcontinente indio. Tienen un ulular profundo y resonante que emiten al comenzar su actividad al crepúsculo. Taxonomía Fue descrito como especie por el naturalista James Franklin a partir de un ejemplar que observó en el norte de la India en 1831.
