Curlew Sandpiper

Le Bécasseau cocorli (Calidris ferruginea) est une espèce d'oiseaux limicoles de la famille des Scolopacidae. Description Cet oiseau mesure 18 à 20 cm de longueur pour une envergure de 42 à 45 cm et une masse de 45 à 90 g pour le mâle et de 50 à 80 g pour la femelle. Son plumage nuptial est ocre-roux.

The curlew sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea) is a small wader. It is a long-distance migrant, breeding in the bogs and coastal lowlands of the Siberian Arctic, arriving there in June and staying until August or September. After the breeding season, it migrates south to spend the winter in Africa and along the coasts of Oceania and southern Eurasia, occupying tidal mudflats and saltpans.

El correlimos zarapitín o playero zarapito (Calidris ferruginea) es una pequeña ave limícola del género Calidris que habita en la tundra siberiana. Es una especie migratoria, que hiberna principalmente en África, pero también en el sur y el sudeste de Asia y Australasia. Muy ocasionalmente ha sido avistado en Norteamérica.
