Hooded Seal

Le Phoque à capuchon (Cystophora cristata) est une espèce de mammifères carnivores, de la famille des Phocidés. On le trouve uniquement dans l'Atlantique nord, dans un espace allant des Svalbard à l'est au golfe du Saint-Laurent à l'ouest. Cystophora cristata est la seule espèce du genre Cystophora.

The hooded seal or bladdernose seal (Cystophora cristata) is a large phocid found only in the central and western North Atlantic, ranging from Svalbard in the east to the Gulf of St. Lawrence in the west. The seals are typically silver-grey or white in color, with black spots that vary in size covering most of the body.
