Erebia montana

Le Moiré striolé (Erebia montana) est un lépidoptère appartenant à la famille des Nymphalidae, à la sous-famille des Satyrinae et au genre Erebia. Dénomination Erebia montana a été nommé par Leonardo De Prunner en 1798. Synonymes Papilio montana de Prunner, 1798 ; Erebia goante ; Erebia homole Fruhstorfer, 1918 ; Papilio goante Esper, 1805.

The marbled ringlet (Erebia montana) is a member of the subfamily Satyrinae of the family Nymphalidae. Distribution and habitat This species is present in Austria, France, Italy, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. These high-mountain butterflies can be found on warm, rocky slopes, woodland clearings and flower-rich grasslands in the Alps from the Ligurian Alps and the French Alps to the Tyrol and the Dolomites, the Apuan Alps and in the northern and middle Apennines, at an elevation of 1,100–2,500 metres (3,600–8,200 ft) above sea level.

Erebia es un género holártico de mariposas de la familia Nymphalidae. La mayoría de las aproximadamente 90 a 100 especies son de color marrón oscuro o negro, con manchas o bandas en las alas, de color marrón rojizo a naranja o, más raramente, amarillento. Estas generalmente tienen manchas negras en su interior, que a veces tienen manchas blancas en el centro.
