American White Ibis

L'Ibis blanc (Eudocimus albus) est une espèce d'oiseaux appartenant à la famille des Threskiornithidae. The American white ibis (Eudocimus albus) is a species of bird in the ibis family, Threskiornithidae. It is found from the southern half of the US East Coast (Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia), along the Gulf Coast states (Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas) and south through most of the Caribbean coastal regions of Central America. Es un ibis ampliamente distribuido por el sur de Estados Unidos y buena parte de la región Neotropical. ​ Taxonomía Fue descrito por primera vez por Carlos Linneo en 1758 y le dio el nombre binomial de Scolopax albus.
