Crested Porcupine

Le Porc-épic à crête (Hystrix cristata), est une espèce de mammifères rongeurs de la famille des Hystricidae, qui regroupe les porcs-épics de l'Ancien Monde. C’est le plus gros porc-épic. C'est un animal terrestre nocturne qui se rencontre en Italie et en Afrique où il est chassé pour sa chair.

The crested porcupine (Hystrix cristata), also known as the African crested porcupine, is a species of rodent in the family Hystricidae native to Italy, North Africa, West Africa, Central Africa and East Africa. Alongside the Cape porcupine, it is one of the largest porcupine species in the world. It is the only species of porcupine found in Europe.

El puercoespín común (Hystrix cristata), también conocido como puercoespín europeo, puercoespín africano o puercoespín norteafricano, es una especie de roedor histricomorfo de la familia Hystricidae que habita regiones cálidas de Italia y África. Se encuentra en toda Italia y África, desde Sicilia hasta el Tirol del Sur. Se reconocen al menos cinco subespecies.
