European Black Widow

Latrodectus tredecimguttatus est une espèce d'araignées aranéomorphes de la famille des Theridiidae. Cette espèce est appelée Malmignatte, Veuve noire méditerranéenne ou Veuve noire d'Europe. Distribution Cette espèce se rencontre dans le bassin méditerranéen, au Moyen-Orient, en Asie centrale et jusqu'en Chine.

Latrodectus tredecimguttatus, also known as the Mediterranean black widow or the European black widow, is a species in the genus Latrodectus of the widow spiders. It is commonly found throughout the Mediterranean region and central Asia, hence the name. Specimens from central Asia are also known by the binomial name Latrodectus lugubris; that name, however, is now considered improper, though it is still commonly found in the literature.

La viuda negra europea o araña sangrienta (Latrodectus tredecimguttatus) es una especie de araña araneomorfa de la familia de los terídidos. Descripción L. tredecimguttatus es de color negro, similar a la mayoría de las otras especies de viudas, y se identifica por las trece manchas que se encuentran en su abdomen dorsal (el nombre de la especie en latín significa "con trece manchas").
