Snubnose Emperor

Lethrinus est un genre de poissons de la famille des Lethrinidae. Les poissons de ce genre sont couramment appelés capitaine.

Lethrinus borbonicus, the snubnose emperor, is a species of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the family Lethrinidae, the emperor breams and emperors. This species is found in the Western Indian Ocean and is of some importance to commercial fisheries in that region. Taxonomy Lethrinus borbonicus was first formally described in 1830 by the French zoologist Achille Valenciennes with its type locality given as Réunion in the Mascarene Islands.
