Lophiobrycon weitzmani

Lophiobrycon weitzmani, unique représentant du genre Lophiobrycon, est une espèce de poissons d'eau douce téléostéens de la famille des Characidae (ordre des Characiformes). Répartition Lophiobrycon weitzmani est endémique du Brésil. Cette espèce n'est connue que de sa localité type la bassin supérieur du rio Grande dans l’État du Minas Gerais.

Lophiobrycon is a monospecific genus of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Stevardiidae. The only species in the genus is Lophiobrycon weitzmani, which is a species of small characin endemic to Brazil, where it is found in the upper Paraná River basin. It is considered threatened by Brazil's Ministry of the Environment.
