Haddock

L’aiglefin, églefin ou èglefin (Melanogrammus aeglefinus) ou ânon ou haddock (s'il est fumé), est une espèce de poissons de la famille des Gadidae, unique représentant du genre Melanogrammus (monotypique). Description L'aiglefin possède l'aspect général des poissons de sa famille, les Gadidae (qui contient aussi les morues et merlans) : corps fusiforme et trois nageoires dorsales. Son dos est noir.

The haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus) is a saltwater ray-finned fish from the family Gadidae, the true cods. It is the only species in the monotypic genus Melanogrammus. It is found in the North Atlantic Ocean and associated seas, where it is an important species for fisheries, especially in northern Europe, where it is marketed fresh, frozen and smoked; smoked varieties include the Finnan haddie and the Arbroath smokie.

El eglefino (Melanogrammus aeglefinus), abadejo, o anón es una especie de pez gadiforme de la familia Gadidae. Se encuentra en ambas partes de la costa del océano Atlántico. Se trata de un pez principalmente empleado para la alimentación humana y es ampliamente comercializado.
