Northern Talapoin Monkey

Le Talapoin du Nord ou Miopithèque de l'Ogooué (Miopithecus ogouensis) est un primate de la famille des cercopithécidés. C'est une des deux espèces du genre Miopithecus qui regroupe les talapoins. Répartition L'espèce est présente sur la côte équatoriale de l'Afrique : Angola, Cameroun, Congo, Guinée équatoriale et Gabon.

The Gabon talapoin (Miopithecus ogouensis), also known as the northern talapoin, is a small species of African monkey native to riparian habitats in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the western Republic of the Congo and the far western Democratic Republic of Congo. It may have been introduced to Bioko and the Canary Islands. Classified in the genus Miopithecus, it was given the name Miopithecus ogouensis, based on the River Ogooué, distinguishing it from the other species, the Angolan talapoin, also known as Miopithecus talapoin.

El talapoin norteño (Miopithecus ogouensis)​​ es una especie de primate catarrino de la familia Cercopithecidae de pequeño tamaño que s encuentra en la zona ripariana de Camerún, Guinea Ecuatorial, Gabón, República Centroafricana, el oeste de la República del Congo y el norte de Angola. ​ A diferencia del Talapoin sureño, el norteño tiene orejas y la piel de la cara color carne, y no negra. ​ Taxonomía Aunque se sabe más de este mono que de su pariente sureño,​ y son especies reconocidas distintas desde 1969,​ el Talapoin norteño permaneció sin nombre hasta 1997.
