Oligosarcus is a genus of freshwater ray-finned fishes belonging to the family Acestrorhamphidae, the American characins. The fishes in this genus are found in South America. They reach up to 31 cm (12 in) in length and are predators that mainly feed on smaller fish.

Oligosarcus amome es una especie de pez de agua dulce del género Oligosarcus de la familia Characidae. Se distribuye en el centro-este de Sudamérica. Taxonomía Esta especie fue descrita originalmente en el año 2015 por los ictiólogos Adriana Almirón, Jorge Casciotta, Lubomír Piálek, Klára Doubnerová y Oldřich Říčan.
