Johann August Ephraim Goeze est un zoologiste allemand, né le 28 mai 1731 à Aschersleben et mort le 27 juin 1793 à Quedlinbourg. Biographie Il est le fils de Johann Heinrich et de Catherine Margarete née à Kirchhoff. Il étudie la théologie à l'université de Halle.

Papestra biren, the glaucous shears, is a moth of the family Noctuidae. The species was first described by Johann August Ephraim Goeze in 1781. It is found in most of Europe, but not in the southern parts of the Iberian Peninsula, Italy and Greece.
