Indra Swallowtail

Papilio indra ou Machaon des falaises est une espèce nord-américaine de papillons de la famille des Papilionidae, de la sous-famille des Papilioninae et du genre Papilio. Dénomination Il a été nommé Papilio indra par Tryon Reakirt en 1866. Description The Indra swallowtail is a black butterfly with minimal blue and whitish markings, similar in coloration to the black swallowtail or the short-tailed swallowtail. Likewise, the species has a very short tail, and dark blue crescents on the topside of the hindwing.
