Red Crested Soft-furred Spiny-rat

Santamartamys rufodorsalis (syn. Diplomys rufodorsalis), ou rat arboricole à crête rousse, est un rongeur de la famille des Echimyidae. C'est l'unique espèce connue du genre monotypique Santamartamys.

The red-crested tree-rat or Santa Marta toro (Santamartamys rufodorsalis) is a species of tree-rat found in the monotypic genus Santamartamys in the family Echimyidae. It is nocturnal and is believed to feed on plant matter, and is mainly rufous, with young specimens having a grey coat. IUCN list the species as critically endangered: it is affected by feral cats, climate change, and the clearing of forest in its potential range in coastal Colombia.

El ratón arbóreo de Santa Marta (Santamartamys rufodorsalis) es una especie de mamífero roedor perteneciente a la familia Echimyidae. Fue descrito originalmente como Isothrix rufodorsalis en 1899 y ubicado dentro del género Diplomys en 1935 quedando como Diplomys rufodorsalis. ​ La subfamilia Echimyinae, dentro de la cual se incluye esta especie, fue revisada en 2005 y como resultado se ubicó en el género monotípico Santamartamys.
