Satyrus briseis

L’Hermite ou Ermite (Chazara briseis) est un lépidoptère appartenant à la famille des Nymphalidae à la sous-famille des Satyrinae et au genre Chazara. C'est une espèce dont les populations se sont effondrées en 10 ans, et aujourd'hui classée vulnérable par La Liste rouge nationale (UICN, MNHN, Opie). Dénomination Il a été nommé Chazara briseis par Pierre André Latreille en 1764.

Chazara briseis, the hermit, is a butterfly species belonging to the family Nymphalidae. It can be found in North Africa, southern Europe, Asia Minor, the Caucasus, Kazakhstan, Central Asia through Afghanistan, and north-western China and Tuva. It is found on steppe and in other dry grassy places between 500 and 2,500 meters.
