Almaco Jack

Seriola (les Sérioles) est un genre de poissons marins de la famille des Carangidae. Taxinomie Le genre Seriola est nommé par Georges Cuvier en 1817. Il explique en 1833 dans son Histoire naturelle des poissons qu'il a utilisé le nom vernaculaire de ce poisson utilisé dans la région de Nice pour créer le nom scientifique de ce nouveau genre.

The longfin yellowtail (Seriola rivoliana), also known as the almaco or silvercoat jack, deep-water, falcate, European or highfin amberjack, rock salmon, longfin or yellow kingfish, is a game fish of the family Carangidae; they are in the same family as yellowtail and amberjack. They are carnivorous and feed, both day and night, on other, smaller fish, such as baitfish, small squid, octopus, crab and shrimp. The flesh is thick and dense, like tuna, and easily may be passed off for white albacore if prepared as sushi.

Seriola rivoliana es una especie de peces de la familia Carangidae en el orden de los Perciformes. Morfología El huayaipe (Seriola rivoliana) es un pez marino, teleósteo carnívoro, de gran fuerza y nado veloz, que tiende a ser migratorio debido a la búsqueda de alimento y para reproducción de la especie. Son peces no muy longevos.
