Golden-cheeked Warbler

La Paruline à dos noir (Setophaga chrysoparia) est une espèce de passereaux de la famille des Parulidae. À distribution très limitée, la paruline à dos noir niche dans une zone géographique extrêmement réduite dans le centre du Texas. C'est une espèce menacée par la destruction de ses habitats au Texas, où elle semble victime d'un piège écologique lié à son attraction pour les lisières qui sont de plus en plus artificielles et favorables à une surprédation des nids.

The golden-cheeked warbler (Setophaga chrysoparia) is an endangered species of bird that breeds in Central Texas, from Palo Pinto County southwestward along the eastern and southern edge of the Edwards Plateau to Kinney County. The golden-cheeked warbler is the only bird species with a breeding range endemic to Texas. Description The golden-cheeked warbler is very striking due to its bright yellow cheeks that are contrasted by its black throat and back.

La reinita caridorada​ (en Panamá y Costa Rica) (Setophaga chrysoparia), también denominada chipe negriamarillo dorsinegro (en México),​ chipe caridorado, chipe de mejillas amarillas o chipe dorsinegro (en México), reinita cachetidorada o reinita pechinegra (en Nicaragua) o chipe mejillas doradas (en Honduras),​ es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia Parulidae perteneciente al numeroso género Setophaga. Se reproduce en Texas, Estados Unidos, y pasa el invierno en México y América Central. Se considera una especie en peligro de extinción.
