Wandering Tiger

Spilosoma est un genre de lépidoptères (papillons) de la famille des Erebidae et de la sous-famille des Arctiinae. Systématique Le genre Spilosoma a été décrit par l'entomologiste britannique John Curtis en 1825. Son espèce type est Bombyx menthastri [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775, un synonyme de Spilosoma lubricipeda (Linnaeus, 1758).

Spilosoma vagans, the wandering diacrisia or wandering tiger moth, is a moth in the family Erebidae. It was described by Jean Baptiste Boisduval in 1852. It is found in western North America, from southern California, southern Utah and central Colorado north to southern British Columbia and south-western Alberta.
