Taeniura grabata, communément appelé Pastenague africaine ou Pastenague ronde, est une espèce de raies de la famille Dasyatidae. Elle occupe des habitats sableux, vaseux ou rocheux situés à proximité des côtes du sud de l'océan Atlantique et du sud la mer Méditerranée. Cette raie de couleur sombre atteint généralement une envergure d'un mètre ; elle est reconnaissable au disque quasi circulaire que forme sa nageoire pectorale, à sa courte queue ainsi qu'à sa peau principalement lisse.

The round stingray (Urobatis halleri) or Haller's round ray and Little round stingray is a species of round ray, family Urotrygonidae, found in the coastal waters of the tropical and subtropical parts of the northeastern Pacific Ocean. It is a small, common ray that feeds mostly on benthic invertebrates. On the beaches of southern California, it is responsible for numerous injuries to bathers, who are stung when they accidentally step on the fish.

El chucho negro (Taeniura grabata) o pastinaca negra es una especie de raya de la familia Dasyatidae. Se puede encontrar en hábitats costeros arenosos, fangosos o rocosos en el océano Atlántico oriental y el sur del mar Mediterráneo. Morfología De color oscuro normalmente alcanza un ancho de 1 m (3,3 pies) y se puede identificar por su disco de aleta pectoral casi circular, cola corta y piel mayormente desnuda.
