Niemitz's Tarsier

Tarsius niemitzi est une espèce de primates de la famille des Tarsiidae. L'espèce est présente sur les îles Togian indonésiennes, à l'exception de Una Una. Dans son pays d'origine, elle est appelée Bunsing, Tangkasi ou Podi.

Niemitz's tarsier (Tarsius niemitzi) is a species of tarsier. It was named in honor of the German evolutionary biologist Carsten Niemitz in 2019. He with his student Alexandra Nietsch were the first to systematically survey and identify possible taxonomic distinctiveness of the Togean's tarsiers population, reportedly based on a tip by Rolex Lameanda, an Indonesian government official.
