Wallace’s Tarsier

Wallace's tarsier (Tarsius wallacei), is a species of Sulawesi tarsier (all tarsiers from the genus Tarsius are from Sulawesi and its surrounding islands). It is found in the forests of what is referred to geologically as the neck of Sulawesi in Central Sulawesi. It is a small brown arboreal primate of the infraorder Tarsiiformes less than 15 cm (6 in) long.

Les tarsiers (Tarsiidae) forment une famille de primates haplorhiniens vivant en Asie du Sud-Est, caractérisés par leurs yeux énormes et leurs pieds très développés. Ils constituent les uniques représentants actuels de l'infra-ordre des tarsiens (Tarsiformes). Les tarsiers ont longtemps été regroupés dans le seul genre Tarsius.

El tarsero de Wallace (Tarsius wallacei) es una especie de primate tarsiforme que habita en la isla de Célebes, Indonesia. Habita al centro de la isla y sus poblaciones no confluyen con otras especies de tarsero, de las cuales se distingue por el fenotipo, las vocalizaciones y el genotipo. ​ Su área de distribución es pequeña, no rebasando probablemente los 50 km².
