Pileated Woodpecker

Le Grand Pic (Dryocopus pileatus syn. : Hylatomus pileatus) est une espèce d'oiseaux appartenant à la famille des Picidae présent en Amérique du Nord. Description Il mesure 40 à 49 cm de long et pèse de 250 à 350 g.

This woodpecker is native to North America, where it is the largest confirmed extant woodpecker species and the third-largest extant species of woodpecker in the world, after the great slaty woodpecker and the black woodpecker. It inhabits deciduous forests in eastern North America, the Great Lakes, the boreal forests of Canada, and parts of the Pacific Coast.

El carpintero amarillento​ (Celeus flavescens), también denominado carpintero de cabeza amarilla o carpintero copete amarillo o carpintero de cresta rubia es una especie de ave piciforme de la familia Picidae de los pájaros carpinteros. Distribución y hábitat Se distribuye a través del este de Brasil, sur de la Selva Amazónica hasta Río Grande del Sur, Paraguay y (Misiones) Argentina. Se encuentra en varios hábitats del selva húmeda y sabana.
