Tarahumara Frog

La grenouille de Tarahumara ou Lithobates tarahumarae est une espèce d'amphibiens de la famille des Ranidae. Répartition Cette espèce se rencontrait originellement : aux États-Unis dans le sud de l'Arizona, pays d'où elle a disparu ; au Mexique dans la Sierra Madre occidentale dans l'est du Sonora, dans l'ouest du Chihuahua et dans l'Est du Sinaloa. Sa présence est incertaine dans l'ouest du Durango, dans le nord du Jalisco et dans le Sud-Ouest d'Aguascalientes.

The Tarahumara frog (Lithobates tarahumarae) is a species of frog in the family Ranidae found in Mexico and the southwestern United States, where it became regionally extinct in the early 1980s. Contributing factors include air pollution, chytridiomycosis and introduced species. Its natural habitats are streams and plunge pools in canyons in oak and pine–oak woodland, and foothill thorn scrub and tropical deciduous forest in the Pacific coast tropical area.

La rana tarahumara, también conocida como rana cuajo o rana de tara​ (Lithobates tarahumarae)​​​ es una especie de anfibio anuro de la familia Ranidae (ranas manchadas). ​ Anteriormente se le encontraba en el sur de Arizona, en Estados Unidos; en México se distribuye en los estados de Sonora, Chihuahua y Sinaloa. ​ Posiblemente también se distribuya en una zona más al sur del país, en la confluencia de los estados de Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Durango y Aguascalientes.
